How do I use Tor: It's easy, you just need a Tor capable browser, there are several options.

The Tor project has an official browser, use this if you are on windows, mac os, linux or android. recommended.
If your on IOS you can use Onion Browser.
Tip: Everytime you switch apps, the page will close with the default settings, to change this, open Settings find "Tab Security" and then select "Remember Tabs"
Brave browser should support onion addresses (not true for Mobile App versions like IOS or Android).

Why: Textblocks.org is self hosted, I do not use the cloud, but now I have to make this work behind a CGNAT, the old solution of using a VPS for its IP proved to be unreliable and slow, Tor will work a lot better. Basically most Internet service providers benefit from the IPv4 shortage, there is no profit intensive to upgrade to IPv6 and fix the core issue of IP exhaustion. ISPs are absolute scum and will not upgrade to a standard introduced more then 20 years ago.

This page is not self hosted, but the textblocks server and its data is all self hosted and is accessible over Tor.

All content you post on Textblocks must be legal under United States law, Tor is not just for criminals, everyone deserves privacy & some of us are just hosting behind NATs.
